Yankees Have had "Internal Chats" About Manny

Jack Curry of YES reports that the Yankees have had internal discussions about bringing former Red Sox left fielder Manny Ramirez to New York.  It's an interesting idea, but mostly because it would be fun to see what Red Sox Nation would do if he actually signed.  Riots in the streets perhaps?

The Yankees are looking to add a right handed bat to their bench to augment their left-handed heavy outfield.  Like Johnny Damon, Manny Ramirez is looking for regular gig, and the Yankees don't have any open positions.  Jorge Posada and Brett Gardner have the DH and LF positions locked down, and don't appear to be giving up their positions at any point in the near future.

While there's a chance for a deal, at the moment it appears unlikely.
